40th Anniversary

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit making movie tributes. The 40th anniversary of AIRPLANE! One of my all-time favourite comedies was released in North America on July 2nd, 1980. It first premiered in 7 theatres in Toronto & 2 theatres in Buffalo a week before. When Kareem Abdul-Jabbar breaks character & turns to see who’s noticed before giving Joey the biz always gets me. What a legend. Leslie Nielson’s deadpan performance is brilliant. Lloyd Bridges is perfect as Steve McCroskey. Thanks for all the laughs Jim Abrahams & the Zucker Brothers.

Too many one-liners to count. Don’t Call Me Shirley

Tried out some 70’s varients for fun. Cool effect.
