Exploring the 1970’s Blaxploitation movie poster vibes on this one. Focusing on N’Bushe’s Delilah Benson character preparing for the storm in her dumpster & touching on the chaos that was Vietnam, always looming in the background. This film sheds light on the American black experience of going to war & coming home only to survive & struggle with the aftermath & consequences of the turbulent time in American history.  I saw this one in the theatre & it has always remained one of my favourite films of the 90s.
